Our Goal – Our Legacy

Figure out where you belong, make some friends, learn to create music in many ways (singing, playing, writing your own stuff, ….), and become YOUR BEST at whatever that is – in a super supportive, encouraging, risk-free-to-be-yourself atmostphere. Karns Middle School Chorus has been an ever-growing organization that is a thriving part of the Karns Community.   Many students from KMS chorus have gone on to have performance careers & careers in music education & we can’t wait to see what you’ll do!

The Director

My name is Kami Lunsford – my students call me “Mrs. Lunsford.” Originally from West Tennessee, I moved to Knoxville to attend University of Tennessee Knoxville School of Music to study Music Education & Italian (also at Universita Di Urbino). I also direct theater at Karns Middle if you are into that sort of thing, too! I act, play, sing, travel, and do life with my husband Mark, our dogs Beauregard & Rupert, and a talking/singing parrot named Molly.
